The clay will move, and the container will follow

Adelaide orders leave port terminals and parks around Outer Harbor, Wingfield and Gillman. Release is from port terminals and parks around Outer Harbor, Wingfield and Gillman. A missing length can be topped up from the eastern seaboard. Inspection is photographic. Clay on the plains swells in a wet winter and shrinks in a dry summer, and a container on it racks.

Outer Harbor terminals

Those parks are third-party container ground. Nothing on the gate says Koala, and buyers do not collect there. A shorter unit can come off a tilt-tray. Hills blocks, a long unit, and a lift over an inner-suburban fence need a crane. Give the frontage, the ground and where the poles stand, and the right truck can be sent the first time.

Plains, hills and coast

Gawler is 5118, at the northern end of the plains. Mount Barker is 5251, up in the Hills. Port Adelaide is 5015, beside the working port. Murray Bridge is 5253, east on the river. Victor Harbor is 5211, on the south coast. Norwood, McLaren Vale and the Barossa are worth naming in the enquiry for their own reasons.

Clay, poles and lanes

Wingfield, Gillman and Lonsdale are hardstand and wide entries. Parts of Gillman are a crust over softer fill. Norwood, Prospect and Unley have narrow frontages, cars both sides, and a Stobie pole where an outrigger wants to stand. Rear lanes are usually one vehicle wide. Many jobs there are lifts over the fence. Clay shifts more at the boundaries than the middle. Semaphore sits on beach sand above a high water table, and a corner can settle. The Hills need their own quote.

Estates, villas and vines

Wingfield, Edinburgh Parks and Lonsdale need plant storage. McLaren Vale and the Barossa want barrel room. Lenswood and the Virginia plains need packing overflow. Mount Barker and Angle Vale need site stores. A bluestone villa at Norwood often needs household storage while it is opened up.

Notes on moving ground, narrow frontages and a grade that keeps rain out.

Will reactive clay rack the doors?

It can, if the container sits on bare ground. The plains shift between a wet winter and a dry summer, and not evenly. Pads under the corners matter more than the truck.

Does a Stobie pole on the verge stop the crane?

It can block an outrigger. Send a photograph of the pole, the kerb and the fence. A lift over the fence is often the method, and it should be agreed first.

Are the Hills a different booking from the plains?

Yes. Wingfield is wide hardstand. Climbs above the suburbs are not that job. Mention the Hills if that is the address, so the quote matches the climb.

Does sand at Semaphore bear a loaded truck?

Poorly. The peninsula is sand above a high water table, and a corner can settle over a season. Say so, and the stand is planned rather than found on the day.

Room for more.Less mucking around.
