Side access is pinched, the setback leaves nothing to manoeuvre in, or all that is needed is a lockable spot for the mower, an air compressor and a wall of hand tools.

Esk, QLD
The gate may be wide enough. The crossing just inside it is entitled to a second opinion. Esk and Mount Hallen sit up the valley, where private drives leave the sealed road and then meet a culvert, a grid or a bend nobody has measured for a rigid truck. Lowood and Fernvale are lower and closer to Ipswich, and they are not urban Ipswich either: the last stretch is still a private approach with its own ground. One Somerset page covers both, because the thing that decides the job is that crossing, not which town name is on the gate.
Grade before length, and access before either.

Cornubia is the only yard you can walk into — ring first. Everywhere else, ask for photographs of the actual unit before delivery, or inspection by arrangement at a partner depot.
Grade moves the price more than size does, and it is what decides whether a unit is sold watertight — the full rundown is on the grades page.

10ftSide access is pinched, the setback leaves nothing to manoeuvre in, or all that is needed is a lockable spot for the mower, an air compressor and a wall of hand tools.
20ftThere is about seven metres of straight, reasonably level ground for it to sit on, and you would rather not discover in half a year that the bigger box was the answer.
40ftYou have the space, the approach is genuinely open, and you want the most storage per dollar the site will allow.
Possible container uses around Esk include feed, fencing and pump gear on grazing blocks around Esk and Mount Hallen, tools and materials kept dry while a shed is still a plan, lock-up storage on the larger lots through Lowood and Fernvale, machinery and workshop overflow where the existing shed has already filled, and a secure store for gear that currently lives under a tarp between the house and the back boundary.
Most of the difficulty on a Somerset delivery is packed into a short piece of private ground, and it is rarely the gate people photograph first. A wide opening can still lead onto a pipe crossing, a low concrete section or a grid whose load rating is unknown. If nobody knows what that crossing is rated to, that is useful information, not an embarrassment. The carrier needs it before a loaded truck is sent to find out. Esk and Mount Hallen tend to add distance: a longer drive off the public road, more chance of a tight bend, and a turnaround at the house end that has to fit the vehicle that is actually coming. Lowood and Fernvale sit lower in the valley, closer to Ipswich, on country that can look firm on top and still soften once you leave the sealed surface. They are not suburban streets and they are not a city drop. Overhead lines to a pump or a house, limbs at bed height, and cattle that need to be clear of the laneway all belong in the same conversation. Photograph the whole route, not only the pretty part by the shed: the entrance, the crossing, the narrowest bend, and the place the container should finish, with enough ground around it to show how the truck would stand. If the crossing rating is unknown, say so in the same note. An alternative landing spot on firm ground near the public road is often the clean answer, and it is much easier to agree before dispatch than to invent at the gate.
Esk
Width of the opening is the measurement everyone has. Condition of the crossing just inside it is the one that stops a truck. Around Esk and Mount Hallen that crossing is often a private culvert or a grid with no plate on it. At Lowood and Fernvale it may be a low section that holds water after rain, or a fill that has slumped over an old pipe. A loaded axle is a poor way to learn which of those you have. If a rating exists, send it. If it does not, say that plainly and the plan becomes a side entrance, a landing short of the crossing, or a crane set up on ground that is known to be firm.
The gate still matters, measured at the narrowest point rather than from post to post, because the truck is wider than the container. Hinges that already catch a ute will not survive being the thing a rigid vehicle has to thread. None of this is a reason the container cannot come. It is the order the questions should be asked in, and a general Ipswich suburban delivery is usually decided by the street instead.

On the ground
Getting to the shed and being able to leave it are different skills. A tilt-tray has to sit square to unload, and it should not be reversing several hundred metres of unfamiliar drive to do it. On a long Esk or Mount Hallen approach, the turnaround at the far end needs to be big enough for the vehicle, not just for the car that usually parks there. If that room does not exist, the better delivery is often closer to the road, on ground the truck can drive in and drive out of.
Lowood and Fernvale approaches are frequently shorter, which does not automatically make them simpler. A short drive with a bend, a low limb and nowhere to straighten up can be harder than a long straight one. Describe the shape of it. A sketch on the back of the photos is plenty: where the truck enters, where it would need to turn, and where you would accept the container if the ideal spot cannot be reached on the day.

Worth knowing
The shed pad can be exactly where the container should live and still be the wrong place to ask a truck to go. Soft ground, an unrated crossing, or a turn that does not exist are all solved the same way: put the box down on firm ground the truck can reach, and shift it later with a machine that is already comfortable on the place. That is an ordinary arrangement through this district, not a failed delivery. What is avoided is a vehicle committed past the point it can reverse out of.
If you want the container in its final position on the day, the ground there has to be ready. Level supports under the four castings, doors at the uphill end, and the area clear of animals, vehicles and anything the truck has to drive across. Hire is possible to ask about for a job with an end date. Delivery and the later collection both need that same workable access, so mention the duration and the approach together rather than treating the pickup as a problem for another day.

One quote carries both the container and the cartage, worked out for your address rather than read off a table.
We also deliver to Lowood, Fernvale, Mount Hallen, Ipswich, Toogoolawah and the surrounding district. If your town is not on the list, ring — it almost certainly still works.

Common questions
Say so before the truck is booked. An unknown culvert, bridge or grid is assessed as unknown, not as probably fine. The carrier can then plan a side gate, a landing on firm ground short of the crossing, or a lift from a setup position that does not have to cross it. Finding out with a loaded truck already committed to the approach is the outcome the photos are meant to prevent. A rating, if you have one, can travel with the enquiry.
Yes, when the approach will carry the truck and there is safe setup and turning room at the far end. Esk and Mount Hallen are where this question comes up most. Send photos of the whole route, including bends, overhead lines and the surface, not only the patch of ground by the shed. If the far end will not work, landing the container closer to the public road is a normal alternative and it can be agreed before dispatch.
They are on this page because they are Somerset localities with private approaches, not because every address is identical. Esk and Mount Hallen are further up the valley. Lowood and Fernvale sit lower, closer to Ipswich, and still need the crossing, the gate and the turnaround described. They are not booked as Ipswich suburb streets. Send the locality with the photos and the truck is matched to that approach.
Ask with the address and how long you need it. Delivery and the later collection both have to be workable for a truck, so an approach that is only just possible on a dry day needs to be said out loud before anyone treats hire as the answer. Stock is confirmed from Cornubia, and the date is confirmed when you order. Photos of the entrance and the crossing belong in that first message.
