Side access is pinched, the setback leaves nothing to manoeuvre in, or all that is needed is a lockable spot for the mower, an air compressor and a wall of hand tools.

Cooroy, QLD
Plenty of trees, plenty of room. Sometimes the only missing ingredient is a straight place for the truck. Cooroy and Cooran are inland blocks, not beachfront streets, and the useful ground is often past a bend, under limbs, and up a drive that a car takes without thinking. Stock is drawn from the Gympie depot when the size and grade are standing there, and from Cornubia when they are not.

Cornubia is the only yard you can walk into — ring first. Everywhere else, ask for photographs of the actual unit before delivery, or inspection by arrangement at a partner depot.
Grade moves the price more than size does, and it is what decides whether a unit is sold watertight — the full rundown is on the grades page.
The range

10ftSide access is pinched, the setback leaves nothing to manoeuvre in, or all that is needed is a lockable spot for the mower, an air compressor and a wall of hand tools.
20ftThere is about seven metres of straight, reasonably level ground for it to sit on, and you would rather not discover in half a year that the bigger box was the answer.
40ftYou have the space, the approach is genuinely open, and you want the most storage per dollar the site will allow.
Possible container uses around Cooroy include tools, timber and machinery parts on acreage around Cooroy and Cooran, feed and fencing where a small rural block has outgrown the shed, a lockable store for building materials while work on the house proceeds, workshop overflow that needs a roof before a new shed exists, and stored goods kept dry and shut when the garage has gone back to the car.
The open patch beside the shed is what most people photograph. The bend before it is what stops the truck. Cooroy and Cooran drives often leave a sealed road, narrow under trees, change gradient, and only then arrive at the useful ground. A tilt-tray needs that arrival to be firm and straight enough to sit square. A crane can place the container past a bend the tilt-tray should not attempt, and only if the crane itself can set up on firm ground within a sensible reach. Trees are part of the measurement. Low limbs and private power lines sit at the height a raised bed or a lift needs to occupy, and the narrowest point of the drive is more important than the widest. Photograph that narrow point, the overhead obstruction, the gateway, and the intended position, and add a measurement where you can take one without guessing. Rain changes the plan on these drives even when the coast is dry, because a shaded inland track holds moisture. Say what the surface does after a fall. Cooran is included here as the neighbouring inland locality, booked the same way: Gympie stock first, Cornubia if the unit is not standing locally, and the access described properly rather than assumed from the fact of a large block. There is no walk-in yard at Cooroy. Gympie inspection is by arrangement. If you want to see a unit without an arranged visit, Cornubia is the yard you can walk into, and you should ring first.
Cooroy
A container will fit on a great many Cooroy and Cooran blocks. The truck that brings it will not automatically follow the line a car uses. The failure point is usually a bend, a crest, or a tightening of the drive that only shows up when something long and rigid tries to take it. If you stand at the shed and look back, you are looking at the easy end of the problem. Walk to the bend and look at it as if you were the driver who cannot unbend the vehicle.
Where the bend rules out a tilt-tray, a crane is the question, not a slogan. It has to set up safely, on ground that will hold it, close enough to the final position that the reach is ordinary rather than hopeful. If neither truck can do the job as described, the honest answer is a different position closer to the firm, straight section. Send the photos of the bend. A photo only of the open patch produces a quote for a delivery the drive may not allow.

On the ground
Hinterland blocks keep their trees, which is part of why people are there, and the canopy is indifferent to a truck. A limb that clears the roof of a ute by a comfortable gap can meet a tilt bed on the way up. Private power to a shed or a pump is the other wire people forget, because it is not on the street and it is exactly across the drive. Photograph the narrowest point with the obstruction in frame, not the scenic wide bit.
Cooran approaches deserve the same attention as Cooroy ones. A shorter drive is not a clearer drive. Measure the gate, note the surface, and say whether it stays firm after rain or turns greasy in the shade. That single observation does more for the booking than a general description of the district. The date is confirmed when you order, against the stock that is actually at Gympie or coming from Cornubia, and against the access you have described.

Worth knowing
A container on prepared supports stays square. A container set on sloping, root-filled or freshly filled ground does not. The four castings need something solid under them, brought to one height, with the doors at the high end so they are not fighting the fall every time they open. On a treed block, keep leaf litter off the roof. Sodden leaves held against steel do more quiet damage than a season of ordinary weather.
If the container is standing in for a shed for a while, decide the final position before delivery rather than the position that is merely closest to the back door. Moving it after the drive has been the difficult part of the job means paying for a second visit from the same truck. A shed comparison is worth making before you order: a container is placed in a single delivery rather than built on site, once the access is agreed, and it does not replace a conversation with the council if you later cut it about or use it as a room. For a plain lock-up, the supports and the door direction are the decisions that matter on the day.

We quote the delivery leg with the unit. A wide hardstand and a steep, narrow driveway the same distance out are priced differently, and only your address tells us which one you have.
We also deliver to Cooran, Pomona, Gympie, Sunshine Coast and the surrounding district. If your town is not on the list, ring — it almost certainly still works.
Worth reading before you order for Cooroy: Do you need council approval for a shipping container? and Shipping container or a shed? An honest comparison.
Common questions
By arrangement only. The Gympie depot is a working yard, not a counter you can wander into, so ring 1300 467 776 and a time is set with the unit pulled out. Photographs of the actual container are available on request and are sent before delivery if a visit does not suit. Cornubia, at 51-55 Bromley Street, is the walk-in yard if you would rather see stock there. Ring first either way.
Only when the crane can set up safely, on firm ground, within a reach that suits the final position. A winding Cooroy or Cooran drive is not solved by the word crane. If there is nowhere firm to stand the truck, the container needs a different spot, closer to where the drive is straight. Photos of the bend, the proposed setup and the overhead clearance are what that decision is made from.
The gateway, the tight bends, anything overhead, and the intended position, with a measurement of the narrowest point if you can take one. Include the surface of the drive and say whether it holds after rain. A single photo of an open patch beside the shed leaves out the part of the job that usually decides the truck. Phone photos are enough.
Yes. Cooran is the neighbouring inland locality and it is booked the same way: Gympie stock where the size and grade are standing, Cornubia when they are not, and the driveway described before a truck is committed. It is not a coastal Sunshine Coast placement. Send the locality with the address so the notes are read against the right approach.
