Side access is pinched, the setback leaves nothing to manoeuvre in, or all that is needed is a lockable spot for the mower, an air compressor and a wall of hand tools.

Yeppoon, QLD
The view can be excellent. The bit of level ground behind the house is what the truck wants to see. Yeppoon and Taranganba are coastal residential placements, often on a slope, with a short drive and something overhead. Emu Park is the same coast with its own streets. Bungundarra and Bondoola open into acreage inland of town, where the problem is more likely a gate and a pad than a tight frontage. Stock is held at a Rockhampton depot and checked against the address.

Cornubia is the only yard you can walk into — ring first. Everywhere else, ask for photographs of the actual unit before delivery, or inspection by arrangement at a partner depot.
Grade moves the price more than size does, and it is what decides whether a unit is sold watertight — the full rundown is on the grades page.

10ftSide access is pinched, the setback leaves nothing to manoeuvre in, or all that is needed is a lockable spot for the mower, an air compressor and a wall of hand tools.
20ftThere is about seven metres of straight, reasonably level ground for it to sit on, and you would rather not discover in half a year that the bigger box was the answer.
40ftYou have the space, the approach is genuinely open, and you want the most storage per dollar the site will allow.
Possible container uses around Yeppoon include household and renovation storage on sloping blocks through Yeppoon and Taranganba, boat and fishing gear that no longer fits the garage, tools and materials for builds along the coast and at Emu Park, feed and machinery on acreage at Bungundarra and Bondoola, and a lockable workshop start where a shed is still months away and the gear cannot sit in the weather.
Coastal blocks around Yeppoon and Taranganba are rarely the flat pad a tilt-tray prefers. The usable ground is often a shelf cut into a slope, a backyard that falls away, or a side path that looks possible until a tape measure and a power line are introduced. A slope is not an unloading pad. The truck needs a firm, sufficiently level place to set up, and the container needs a level position of its own, which may be a prepared shelf rather than the natural fall of the block. Emu Park brings the same coastal constraints on different streets: measure the bends in the drive, the overhead clearance, and the final pad, and photograph all three. Inland at Bungundarra and Bondoola the blocks are larger and the residential pinch points ease off, which introduces farm-gate questions instead. A wide acreage entrance can still have a soft patch after rain, a low line across the drive, or nowhere to turn a rigid truck. Salt air is the long-term issue on the exposed sites, not the delivery-day issue. A cargo-worthy container is sold watertight, which means rain from above, not a promise that condensation will never form inside, and not a promise about an as-is unit. Keep the box on supports, clear of surface drainage, and rinse salt off the roof and upper rails as part of ordinary care. Send the photos before the Rockhampton unit is booked onto a truck. A crane can solve a placement the tilt-tray cannot reach, provided it has firm setup ground and the reach is real. It cannot invent a level shelf that was never prepared.
Yeppoon
Plenty of Yeppoon and Taranganba blocks have a view and a fall, and almost no ground a container can sit on without help. The natural surface sloping away from the house is not where four corner castings should finish. What works is a prepared level position: pads or sleepers built up on the low side, doors at the uphill end, and the shelf kept out of the line stormwater takes down the block. Cutting a notch into the high side and sitting the container in it tends to hold water against the bottom rail. Build the low side up instead.
Emu Park is the same conversation on a different part of the coast. If the only flat area is the driveway, say so, because a container that fills the drive is a daily problem disguised as a successful delivery. Bungundarra and Bondoola are where the coast page becomes acreage. There is more room, and the level position still has to be made rather than assumed, especially where the shed sits on ground that looks flat from the verandah and is not flat under a straight edge.

On the ground
The container's footprint and the truck's footprint are different shapes. A 20ft can sit beside a house while the tilt-tray that brought it has nowhere legal or firm to stand. On a Yeppoon frontage that often means measuring the drive, the bend, and the overhead clearance, then deciding whether the job is a tilt-tray at all. A crane truck needs its own room: outriggers down on firm ground, a clear lift to the final position, and no assumption that the street will simply make space on the day.
Photograph the final pad from the direction the truck would approach, and take one looking back the other way so the wires and the roofline are in shot. Inland at Bondoola or Bungundarra, add the gate and the surface of the drive. Rain on a sloping coastal block and rain on an inland acreage track are both reasons a confirmed date might move. The date is set when you order, against the truck the site actually needs, and it is revisited if the ground has changed since.

Worth knowing
An exposed coastal site will put salt on the roof and upper edges of a container for as long as it sits there. That is maintenance, not a defect in the delivery. Wash it down a couple of times a year, keep vegetation off the roof, and do not store it hard against a wall where the seaward face never dries. Sit it up on supports so surface water can pass underneath instead of pooling at the door sill. Drainage is a siting decision. Make it before the truck arrives.
Cargo-worthy stock is inspected wind and watertight before it is sold for storage. That is a statement about rain getting in through the envelope, not about condensation. Warm coastal air inside a closed steel box will still drop moisture on the ceiling overnight, and anything that minds being dripped on should be up off the floor, with ventilation discussed at the quote. As-is units are a different grade and are not sold as watertight. If the contents have to stay dry, start at cargo-worthy and say so when you ask what Rockhampton is holding.

Because the access at your end matters as much as the distance, the delivery leg is quoted per job and shown with the unit.
We also deliver to Rockhampton, Emu Park, Taranganba, Bungundarra, Bondoola and the surrounding district. If your town is not on the list, ring — it almost certainly still works.

Common questions
By arrangement. The Rockhampton depot is a working depot, not a drop-in yard, so ring 1300 467 776 and a time is organised with the unit accessible. If the trip in from Yeppoon or Emu Park does not suit, ask for photographs of the actual container and they are sent before delivery. Cornubia remains the only walk-in yard, and it is a long way from the Capricorn Coast, which is why local stock is checked first.
Often, once there is a prepared level position and a safe place for the truck to set up. The slope itself is not the pad. Pads or sleepers bring the four corners to one height, with the doors uphill. Photos of the fall, the proposed shelf and the access decide whether that is a tilt-tray job or a crane job. A crane still needs firm setup ground within reach. It does not remove the need to prepare the spot.
No. A cargo-worthy container is sold watertight, meaning it is checked against rain coming through the envelope, for storage use. Condensation can still form inside when warm humid air cools against the steel, which is common on the coast. Ventilation, and keeping goods off the floor, is the practical answer. As-is stock does not carry a watertight claim. Say what you are storing and the grade can be matched to it.
Emu Park, Taranganba, Bungundarra and Bondoola are part of this page. They are not the same kind of site. Coastal streets and inland acreage want different photos, and both are booked from Rockhampton stock rather than from a Yeppoon yard, because no Yeppoon depot is listed. Send the locality with the address so the access notes are read against the right kind of block.
