Sarina, QLD
The Bruce Highway gets a truck to Sarina. It does not get the container onto the block. Sarina is about thirty-seven kilometres south of Mackay, at Plane Creek, with the Plane Creek mill in town, cane country around it and south to Koumala, and the beaches off to the east. Hay Point, the coal port, sits north-east of town. The Sarina Range is inland, on the Marlborough–Sarina Road, not on the highway. Stock is held at a Mackay depot and checked against the address. There is no Sarina yard on the depot list.

Cornubia is the only yard you can walk into — ring first. Everywhere else, ask for photographs of the actual unit before delivery, or inspection by arrangement at a partner depot.
Grade moves the price more than size does, and it is what decides whether a unit is sold watertight — the full rundown is on the grades page.

10ftSide access is pinched, the setback leaves nothing to manoeuvre in, or all that is needed is a lockable spot for the mower, an air compressor and a wall of hand tools.
20ftThere is about seven metres of straight, reasonably level ground for it to sit on, and you would rather not discover in half a year that the bigger box was the answer.
40ftYou have the space, the approach is genuinely open, and you want the most storage per dollar the site will allow.
Possible container uses around Sarina include irrigation fittings, tools and machinery parts on cane farms around Sarina and Koumala, a lockable store where a shed has already filled, feed and fencing on grazing blocks out at Sarina Range, boat and fishing gear at Sarina Beach and Armstrong Beach, a secure store on a Hay Point block once the site's own access rules are known, and household goods kept dry while work on a house proceeds.
Sarina does not deliver as one kind of ground. In town, and on the cane farms through the Plane Creek district and south toward Koumala, the public road is usually the straightforward half. After that you are on a farm approach: a gate, a headland, and often a cane-railway crossing, because the mill runs a tramway through this district. A crossing that sits proud of the road, with a short run up to it, will hang a long truck. Say whether there is one, and how it sits, before a truck is sent. Tell us what the approach does after rain. Cane-farm ground that is fine in the dry is not a promise after a fall of rain, and a booking can move rather than put a truck onto it. East of town the ground changes. Sarina Beach, Armstrong Beach and Campwin Beach are coastal localities on sand, and Grasstree Beach, further north toward Hay Point, is the same kind of coast. Treat a beach-side nature strip as unproven until someone has looked at it. Sand that carries a car does not always carry the rear of a loaded truck, and a short drive can still have a bend, a low limb or a private power line at the height a raised bed needs. Hay Point is a different booking again. If the address is inside a coal terminal or a secured yard, the site's own rules decide whether a truck can enter, and those rules have to be in the booking rather than discovered at the gate. Inland, the Sarina Range locality is south-west of town on the Marlborough–Sarina Road. It is rising country with longer private approaches than a block on the highway, and it should not be booked as a Bruce Highway drop. Three photographs cover most of this: the entrance from the public road, the drive with any crossing or soft patch in frame, and the intended position with whatever is overhead. Name the locality as well as the street. A Koumala headland, a Sarina Beach frontage and a Sarina Range gate are not the same job.
Sarina
Plane Creek mill has been crushing at Sarina since 1896, and the distillery stands beside it. What matters for a delivery is the cane railway that runs out through the farms, including south toward Koumala. The useful question is not whether the district has a tramway. It is whether your approach crosses one, and whether that crossing sits level with the road or stands proud of it. A proud crossing with a short run-up hangs a rigid truck. If you do not know, say so. Unknown is a plan we can make. Unknown found at the front gate is a truck with the container still on it.
The same note should say what the last stretch does after rain. Landing the container on firm ground the truck can reach, and shifting it later with a machine already on the place, is a normal way to finish a cane-farm drop. It should be chosen before the truck leaves Mackay, not invented once the wheels are on a soft headland. Measure the gate at the opening a vehicle must pass, not from post to post in a square-on photo.

On the ground
Sarina Beach and Armstrong Beach are the coastal localities this page is built to cover with the town, and Campwin Beach and Grasstree Beach belong in the same conversation. The block can be modest, the drive short, and the ground still wrong for a tilt-tray. A tilt-tray needs a firm, straight place to sit square. A beach frontage often offers sand, a bend, or both. A crane can place the container past a bend the tilt-tray should not attempt, and only if the crane itself can set up on firm ground within a sensible reach. It does not make sand into a pad.
Photograph the gateway, the surface, anything overhead, and the intended position. Say whether the spot is the natural sand or something already built up. Four corner castings need support at one height, with the doors at the high end of any fall, and the box kept out of the line water takes off the block. If the only firm area is the driveway, say that too. A container that fills the drive is a daily problem disguised as a successful delivery. Salt air on an exposed beach site is maintenance after the truck has gone: rinse the roof and upper rails, and keep vegetation off the steel. It is not a reason to skip the photos of the access.

Worth knowing
There is no Sarina depot on the list. The nearest listed stock is a Mackay depot, about thirty-seven kilometres north, and that is where a Sarina order is checked first. Not every size and grade is standing there in a given week. Where it is not, the unit comes from Cornubia and the date moves with that, and you are told which of the two it is when the order is placed. Inspection at Mackay is by arrangement, because the depot is a working yard rather than a counter. Ring 1300 467 776 and a time is set. If the trip up does not suit, photographs of the actual container are sent on request before delivery. Cornubia, at 51-55 Bromley Street, is the yard you can walk into, Monday to Friday 7:30am to 5pm and Saturday 8am to 12pm, and it is a long way from Sarina, which is why the Mackay unit is the one to ask about first. Ring before you go there too.
Hay Point and Sarina Range do not become Mackay just because the stock starts there. A terminal address needs the site's gate, window and standing position in the enquiry. A Sarina Range address needs the Marlborough–Sarina Road approach described: the gate, the surface, the turnaround, and whether the ground rises or softens. The date is confirmed when you order, against the stock that is actually at Mackay or coming from Cornubia, and against the access you have described. A wide paddock at Koumala and a sandy block at Sarina Beach can leave on the same kind of day and still want different trucks.

Because the access at your end matters as much as the distance, the delivery leg is quoted per job and shown with the unit.
We also deliver to Mackay, Koumala, Sarina Beach, Hay Point, Sarina Range and the surrounding district. If your town is not on the list, ring — it almost certainly still works.

Common questions
No Sarina depot is listed. The nearest listed stock is a Mackay depot, and that is where the size and grade are checked first. If Mackay is not holding what you want, the unit comes from Cornubia and you are told that before the truck is booked. Mackay inspection is by arrangement on 1300 467 776. Photographs of the actual container are sent on request before delivery. Cornubia, at 51-55 Bromley Street, is the walk-in yard if you would rather see stock there. Ring first either way.
Often, and it has to be described first. The Plane Creek mill runs a cane railway through the Sarina and Koumala farms, and a private crossing is a common part of the approach. What we need is whether your track crosses it and how the crossing sits relative to the road. A crossing that stands proud, with a short run-up, will hang a long truck. If the track will not carry a loaded truck, the container can be set down on firm ground the truck can reach. Say so at the booking rather than at the crossing.
Koumala, Sarina Beach, Hay Point and Sarina Range are part of this page, and so are Armstrong Beach, Campwin Beach and Grasstree Beach. They are not the same kind of site. A cane approach, a sandy beach frontage, a secured yard at Hay Point and a gate on the Sarina Range want different photos, and all of them are booked from Mackay stock rather than from a yard in Sarina, because no Sarina depot is listed. Send the locality with the address so the notes are read against the right approach.
By arrangement. The Mackay depot is a working depot, not a drop-in yard, so ring 1300 467 776 and a time is organised with the unit accessible. If the trip up from Sarina, Koumala or the beaches does not suit, ask for photographs of the actual container and they are sent before delivery. Cornubia remains the only walk-in yard, and it is a long way south of Mackay, which is why local stock is checked first.
