Port Macquarie, NSW
The Hastings is a booked southbound run
A scheduled Pacific Highway run carries Port Macquarie orders south. This is the far end of that coastal leg, so the box travels when the run does, rather than waiting in town. The truck should arrive already briefed on the ground: dune sand, backswamp behind it, and covenants in the newer estates.
Booked southbound haul
South on the highway is the planned leg. Photos of the Hastings unit go out before that run is booked, and delivery is quoted once dune sand, backswamp or an estate covenant is named.
Hastings and Camden Haven
Port Macquarie is 2444. Laurieton, on the Camden Haven, is 2443. Lake Cathie and Bonny Hills share 2445. Wauchope is 2446. Kempsey is 2440. North Haven, Beechwood and Comboyne sit in the same district. A Wauchope river flat and a Lake Cathie dune are both on the schedule, and they need different trucks.
Dunes, swamp, covenants
Open side access suits a tilt-tray on a ten-foot or twenty-foot. A crane covers a forty-foot, a village drop, or a lift over a fence. Town through Lake Cathie, Bonny Hills and North Haven is beach sand over a shallow water table, with soft backswamp behind the dunes and acid sulfate in much of that low ground, so pads beat digging. Hastings and Wilson flats at Wauchope, Beechwood and Rollands Plains grease after rain. Older streets have short drives, figs, Norfolk pines and low wires. Thrumster, Sovereign Hills and Sancrox add narrow streets, kerb pits, unsettled fill and covenants. Comboyne and Byabarra are twenty-foot country unless the climb has been agreed.
Oysters, villages, timber
Oyster punts and baskets on the Hastings and Camden Haven. Boards at Lake Cathie and Bonny Hills. Mill kit around Wauchope. Beef and dairy gear at Beechwood. Site stores at Thrumster. Village lock-ups, club gear, and dry storage toward Comboyne.
Reading on dune sand, covenants and the escarpment climb.
Why can the Hastings date move when the highway is clear?
The order rides a scheduled southbound run, not a truck parked in town. Say if a settlement or a builder is fixed to a day.
What is risky about digging behind the coastal dunes?
Lake Cathie and North Haven sit on sand, then soft backswamp, much of it acid sulfate. Pads beat holes. Ask before anyone digs.
Do covenants at Thrumster affect where a steel box may sit?
Often. Sovereign Hills and Sancrox are the same: narrow streets, kerb pits, unsettled fill. Read the rule before the truck is booked.
Is the climb toward Comboyne suitable for a forty-foot?
Rarely. Byabarra is steep, narrow and short of room at the top. Treat it as twenty-foot country unless the approach is agreed.

Room for more.Less mucking around.
